This beautiful 1989 Porsche 964 Carrera 4 convertible was booked in for an enhancement detail and protective coatings.
Due to the age of the paintwork, and having some previous paintwork carried out (the bonnet, front wings, and bumper having clear coat and the rest of the car having single stage paint), as many defects were removed while retaining a good amount of paint and lacquer if the Porsche requires detailing in the future.
There was a vast improvement with swirl mark and scratch reduction with the guards red looking a lot brighter and extremely glossy. Coating of choice was Titan Coatings PX10. PX10 is a carbon membrane coating which incorporates hydrocarbon technology with nano-carbides.
PX10 is used for substrate preservation and provides increased surface density and great hydrophobic behavior. By utilising advanced mimetic thermoset materials, Titan have created a coating which can quickly and permanently protect surfaces from abrasions, chemicals and more. This was applied to the paintwork, and lights. The black trim was treated with Britemax Trim Max, restoring a deep black finish to the faded sections.
The glass was polished inside and out, then protected with Kamikaze Collection Intenso. The engine bay was cleaned by hand and dressed. The interior was also cleaned and vacuumed. Alloy wheels were protected with Pyramid Car Care ceramic coating pro.
