This 2004 Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG was booked in for an extensive detail. A very tidy example, but the paintwork needed a new lease of life.
A safe wash and decontamination process was carried out first, followed by a two stage machine polish to remove as many heavy swirl marks and scratches as safely possible. This really brought up the metallic black paintwork, giving a lovely depth and nice clarity.
To protect the freshly polished paintwork, Kamikaze Collection Miyabi coat was applied first as a base layer. This gives good protection as well as a lovely glossy finish. On top of that, an accredited detailer application of ZIpang Gold Class coating was applied. This gives excellent hydrophobic protection and intense show car gloss, combined with Miyabi it really is a superb combination.
Glass was polished inside and out, with Gtechniq Smart Glass applied to side, rear glass and mirrors. Titan Coatings Hyper Glass was applied to the windscreen. The owner also opted for our wheel and protection package. Wheels were removed and coated inside and out including calipers with Gyeon Rim ceramic coating. Hubs were copper greased to prevent wheels being seized on in the future. Exhaust tips were also polished. The interior was cleaned, vacuumed and sanitised throughout with our leather protection package added. Leather is cleaned and then treated with Dr Leather Dye Block, helping against dirt and dye transfer and keeping that natural matte finish to the leather.
The engine bay was already in excellent condition, this was carefully dressed with a non greasy dressing.
