This mountain grey metallic 2022 Mercedes Benz GLB 35 AMG was booked in for an ultimate new car protection detail.
The car was instructed not to be touched by dealership valeters, only PDI’d and ready for collection. After arrival at Offset Detailing Essex, a safe wash and decontamination was carried out and then the paintwork inspected. Even though this was not touched by the valeters who rush new car valets through and inflicted swirl marks and scratches by lack of time and care, there were still some minor swirl marks and the odd light scratch which was probably inflicted from transportation on and off lorries, off the boat at the docks etc.
A single stage machine polish was carried out to correct the paint, boost gloss levels ready for the ceramic coating to be applied. Accredited detailer only application of Titan Coatings ‘TITAN’ was applied to the whole exterior – paint, lights, trim, plastics, with their Ultra Top Coat V3 being applied after a two hour period to further enhance the protection.
The glass was then polished inside and out, with Titan Coatings Hyperglass applied which repels rain and dirt, aiding the driver in poor road conditions.
Wheel and caliper package was also added to the detailing list – wheels were removed, coated inside and out including calipers with KDD Revolve, this makes the wheels and calipers a lot more resist to brake dust, dirt, tar and general grime bonding to the surface. It also makes the wheels easier to clean on the weekly wash. Exhaust tips were also coated with Revolve.
Moving onto the interior, the owner also opted for our leather protection package. The leather is cleaned then treated with Dr Leather Dye Block. Helping against dirt, spillages and clothing dye transfer. It also has a subtle leather scent and cures leaving the leather how it should – a matte finish with no shine. The rest of the interior was sanisted and vacuumed throughout.
Last but not least, the engine bay was cleaned and treated with Titan Coatings Ultra Top Coat as well as engine bay surround, boot and door shuts.
This speedy GLB has the best start to it’s life on the road, looking better than brand new with excellent protective ceramic coatings making maintenance easy with the right products.
