A returning customer with this stunning new Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 in for an extensive new car detail. After a thorough safe wash and decontamination, Xpel Ultimate paint protection film (PPF) was fitted to the following areas: full bonnet, bumper, headlights, front wings, mirrors, full side skirts and around intakes, bottom rear bumper area behind the back wheel.
After PPF was fitted the car was returned for a two stage machine polish process to remove any minor swirl marks and defects giving the night blue porsche paint that mile deep shine and showing off the metallic flake.
Paint, trim and PPF protection of choice was by the excellent Japanese brand Kamikaze Collection. Miyabi Coat was applied first, this contains smaller molecules than the average glass coat sealant, making it less prone to water spotting. The high silica dioxide content provides durable protection and an amazingly clear, brilliant shine to any colour paintwork.
After the recommended curing period, their accredited only coating Zipang was applied on top. Zipang combines high quality, ingredients with Kamikaze Collection’s ultra-low molecular weight hydrocarbons to produce a coating with extreme water-repelling properties. However, extensive research and development has enriched these ingredients to increase their performance and enhance their reflective potential. Furthermore, ZIPANG Coat has a self-levelling function activated by heat that helps keep paintwork swirl-free for longer.
Adding both coatings as a dual layer process boasts extreme gloss, adds an intensity to the colour and is extremely hydrophobic against the elements.
Glass was polished inside out, then protected with Pyramid Car Care’s new glass coating. The owner also opted for our wheel and caliper protection package. The wheels were removed, coated inside out with Gyeon Rim and then Titan Coatings Ultra Top Coat applied for further gloss and protection. The calipers also received this treatment. Inner arches and tyres were treated with Sansom Car Care’s Voodoo trim and rubber dressing.
The interior was vacuumed throughout with Sansom Car Care’s new Cabin Care product applied to carefully clean and sanitise the cabin.
